Announcing Bharatanatyam Classes in Santa Fe

We arrived in Santa Fe in July, 2021 from New Delhi, India and made it our home. I am now ready to offer dance classes to children and adults in our beautiful home studio in the South Capital area. I started teaching Bharatanatyam when I was barely 19 years old myself. My guru K.N. Dakshinamoorthy encouraged me to take over the classes and expand my knowledge of dance through teaching. Over the years I have trained and mentored several budding artists and young learners and would like to continue to share my knowledge and experience in the field as a performer and educator with the community in New Mexico. I plan to start two new batches in September 2023. Please go to the contact page and write to me, if you are interested in learning Bharatanatyam.

I truly enjoy being a teacher both in the arts and the academic space and am always attempting to bridge the gap between the two. This Fall semester, I am also introducing a course in ‘Sociology of Dance’ at the Northern New Mexico College, where I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Arts and Human Sciences.
